ARTWORK

ArtWorks of Eau Gallie is a fine art and fine craft festival. All work on display must be original art and be 3 years old or less (created since since 2021)All artwork must be available for purchase.

AWARDS – $14,000 in Awards

$500 – Awards of Honor (4) *Up to 4 Honor Awards of $500 to be awarded at the judges’ discretion
$1800 – Demonstrators Awards (Total for 3 Awards)
  
$700 – Awards by local galleries/organizations

Presentation of Awards
Award ribbons and checks for the art awards will be announced and presented at the Awards Program on Saturday evening, November 23, 2024. 

Demonstrators’ Awards will be presented on Sunday afternoon, November 24, 2024.

SHOW SIZE
The 2024, 28th Annual ArtWorks of Eau Gallie is limited to 125 artists, including Best of Show, Judges’ Choice, Awards of Distinction, and Awards of Merit winners from 2023.

CATEGORIES
Categories will be used for jurying only and not for the Festival Awards. Awards are given regardless of category. It is the artist’s responsibility to enter the appropriate jurying category.  All work must be original, signed by the artist, and produced using archival material.

Clay
All non-jewelry clay and porcelain work (wheel-thrown, slab, hand-manipulated, etc.). May not be slip-cast in a mold, machine-made or mass-produced.
Digital Art
Two-dimensional work created by the artist using computer technologies.  May include scanned images from 
the artist or other sources that have been non-trivially modified using computer programs.  Work must be printed with archival quality materials and properly signed and numbered as a limited edition no greater than 250 including all sizes.  Signage of an overtly commercial nature listing the availabilty of numerous sizes, print surfaces and/or framing options is prohibited.
Drawing & Pastel
Two-dimensional work including but not limited to pencil, charcoal, chalk, pastels, wax crayon, inks and washes, or other marking materials.
Fiber
Work such as baskets, books, embroidery, paper, quilts, and others created by the artist from fibers. No forms of commercial, mass-produced or enhanced items are permitted. Commercially produced wearable tems, regardless of additional modification by the artist, are not accepted in this category.
Glass
Glass works that are functional or decorative by design and are kiln formed or have been crafted by glassblowing, molding or casting. Works may be etched or engraved. No glass made from molds or made by production methods, even if it has original decorations on it, is acceptable.
Graphics & Printmaking
Prints manually created by the artist using plates, stones or screens which have been properly signed and numbered as a limited edition no greater than 250 using quality archival materials.
Jewelry
All jewelry, regardless of medium, must be entered in this category.  Work must be designed, created and executed by the artist.  All work displayed must be similar in style, quality and method of work presented in the artist’s images.  No buy sell, commercial casts or mass produced by another manufacturer, molds, kits, or production studio work is allowed.  Only those artists accepted in the jewelry category may display or sell jewelry.
Leather
Handmade work created with leather. No copies or reproductions made by machine. No machine tooling, machine-screened patterns, molds or miscellaneous forms of mass production are permitted.
Metal
Non-jewelry metal work created by the artist without the use of a production studio.
Mixed Media
Original work of two or three dimensions in which the primary intent is the union of two or more media or physical materials. Two-Dimensional Mixed Media should include more than one of the following: paint, pencil, watercolor, photography, printmaking or drawing. Three-Dimensional Mixed Media should include more than one of the following: clay work, fiber, glass, metal, wood, or any other 3-D object.
Painting
Two-dimensional work created with pigment including oils, acrylics, alkyd, casein, and egg tempura, or any combination of these pigments excluding watercolor.
Photography
Two-dimensional work created by the artist that includes digital and film photography that has not been manipulated to achieve results beyond what could be produced in a traditional dark room.  Hand-colored photography and emulsion transfers are accepted in this category.  Only the artist’s original source material is acceptable. Work must be printed by the artist or under the artist’s direct supervision in limited editions no greater than 250, including all sizes, properly signed and numbered on archival material.  Signage of an overtly commercial nature listing the availability of numerous sizes, print surfaces and/or framing options is prohibited.
Sculpture
Three-dimensional work created in any medium. Built-up wood will be considered sculpture. No forms of commercial or mass-produced or enhanced items are permitted.
Watercolor
Two-dimensional work created with watercolors.
Wood
Hand-tooled, machine-worked, turned or carved work in wood. No forms of mass-produced or enhanced items not made by the artist are permitted. Embellished or painted store bought furniture is not accepted.
Giclee is not permitted.
